“I believe that everything happens for a reason.” – Marilyn Monroe
My life is constantly on the go! Whether I’m busy with work, school, or extracurricular activities, I very rarely have free time just for myself. When I first started practicing yoga, I didn’t realize how beneficial it would be to help relieve stress and allow me to turn my brain off. I really started to understand the focus on breath between poses, and the benefits it has to help relax the body.
I’ve found that yoga has been such a huge positive impact on not only my mental health, but also my physical health too. During the day’s, I work with young children as an Early Childhood Educator, and I also participate in extracurricular activities, one of which is cheerleading for the Ottawa RedBlacks Cheer and Dance Team. Both can be physically demanding on my body, and often cause strain or muscle tension, and I am very thankful to have my yoga practice to help me heal and recover.
Outside of my yoga practice and cheerleading, I also enjoy staying active by participating in weight training, running, spin, various sport clubs and hiking! I love adventure and trying new experiences, cuddling my cats Riley and Bandit and my biggest dream is to travel the world!
