YOU LOVE YOGA. Maybe you’ve been practicing for nine months, maybe nine years—but something inside you is calling for more. More depth in your practice, more connection to yourself, and maybe even a new way of showing up in the world.
The Yogatown Yoga Teacher Training is more than just a certification—it’s a transformational journey of personal growth, community, and learning. Whether you’re looking to teach or simply dive deeper into your practice, this program will challenge, inspire, and expand you.
Is This a “Hot” Yoga Teacher Training?
Yogatown is known for its warm and welcoming heated classes, but our teacher training is designed to prepare you to teach in a variety of settings—heated or unheated. This is a comprehensive training that equips you with a strong foundation and the flexibility to share your knowledge wherever your journey takes you.
Our Unique Format
We’ve thoughtfully designed a format that works for real life. This 200+ hour program includes:
- 180 in-person hours
- 50+ hours of home study
- Regular studio or home practice
Meet Your Instructors
Our teaching team is one of the most experienced and diverse in the city, with each facilitator bringing their unique passion and expertise to the program. Your trainers include: Tracy Billows, Jen Pakuts, Kelly Cameron, Dana Wemyss, Jovette Carey, Kathryn Flynn, Jason Billows – and more. You’ll learn from a collective wealth of knowledge and styles making our curriculum dynamic, diverse and well-rounded.

Requirements
To receive your certification, you must:
- Attend all training sessions (maximum 2 days missed with approval)
- Complete all assignments on time
- Teach a yoga class
- Engage fully in the process
Schedule
Training days run every other weekend approx. 9:00am – 4pm, unless otherwise stated. While we aim to keep these dates firm, minor adjustments may occur.

Tuition & Inclusions
- Early Bird (by August 1): $3,250 + hst
- Regular (after August 1): $3,550 + hst
- Deposit: $500 + hst (non-refundable, non-transferable)

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I’m not sure I want to teach?
A: That’s completely fine! About a third of our participants don’t plan to teach. The training is a deep and rewarding journey no matter your end goal. You might even surprise yourself.
Q: What if I need to miss a weekend?
A: Life happens. You can miss a couple of days, and we’ll help you catch up. Let us know in advance, and we’ll work with you.
Q: Do I need to be able to do advanced poses?
A: Absolutely not. There are no pose-based prerequisites. Come with curiosity and an open heart—that’s all you need.
Q: How much time should I set aside outside of weekends?
A: Expect to dedicate about 5 hours per week to readings, homework, and self-study. Signing up early gives you a head start on the reading list.
Q: Are there required readings?
A: Yes, and you’ll receive the full list upon acceptance into the program.
