Like many, my yoga journey began out of pure curiosity as well as a way to complement my fitness regiment. It soon transformed into a passion for the benefits it provided me on and off the mat. I love the opposite forces created between the challenges of the physical practice while bringing my mind to a state of focus and calm. Two decades as a police officer took a toll on my mental health and resulted in a post traumatic stress disorder diagnosis, a forced early retirement and many months of uphill battle. I decided to take my practice to the next level in order to give me purpose and regain mental strength. I credit yoga and everything that it is for what my life has now become. I feel privileged to guide others through their own practice.
Outside of the hot room, I keep busy as a mom to 2 teenagers. Skiing is my first love but I enjoy anything fitness and nutrition.
