Our goal is to reopen our studios as soon as we can do so safely
To all of our incredible Townies.
It is with very mixed emotions that we are closing Yogatown, effective immediately.
While we have taken increasingly serious measures to provide a clean and sanitary studio space for you, we no longer feel they are enough.
The fact is that we have no control over the environments people are exposed to before entering our studios. Nor can we ensure that Health Canada’s social distancing recommendations can be practiced as Townies come and go within our studios.
This was an incredibly difficult decision, but we do feel it is best for our staff, our Townies, and also to support our larger Ottawa community’s efforts to contain the spread of Covid-19.
We’re still here for you.
Yogatown has always prided itself on being a sanctuary where you can come to find relief from the stresses of your day-to-day life, and we are deeply saddened that we can no longer offer that sanctuary at a time when we feel it may be needed most.
As an alternative, we will continue to support your home practice.
The Yogatown YouTube Channel currently has some of our most popular classes available to you free of charge. And, in the coming days/weeks, we will be recording new classes of varying lengths and styles for you.
When will Yogatown reopen?
Our goal is to reopen our studios as soon as we can do so safely.
We will continue to monitor the recommendations of our governments and Health Canada, and will act accordingly.
As events unfold, we will update you through our email newsletter and on social media.
What will happen to my membership?
All memberships are being placed on hold.
Our staff are handling all arrangements so there is nothing you need to do.
When we reopen our doors, you will be notified and your membership will resume.
What about the workshop I signed up for?
All workshops are also cancelled.
Our staff will refund your registration fees back into your Yogatown account.
Thank you for your support.
There is no doubt that these will be challenging times for us all, both personally and in the business community.
That said, it is you, our Townies, who have shown us time and time again how strong and resilient each and every one of us can be.
We are truly blessed to have our Yogatown family in our lives.
Much love to each and every one of you.
Tracy & Jason
