“Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over, she began to fly.”

Yoga has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a former gymnast, I was initially drawn to yoga for its physical health benefits such as improved strength, balance and flexibility. Over the years, life itself and my career as a veterinarian led to a heaviness inside me – compassion fatigue, grief, anxiety, and a total work-life imbalance began to take a toll… until I became a Townie, that is! The Yogatown community allowed me to turn to my mat on a deeper, more spiritual level and it was here that I began to tap into the mental health benefits of yoga. It became my purest form of self-love – an escape from the prison of my mind. Experiencing these benefits first hand is actually what compelled me to step outside of my traditional 9-to-5 life and become a yoga teacher. As a teacher and healer, I strive to teach from the heart. My classes aim to provide you with a reprieve from the daily mind chatter, an opportunity for self-exploration and healing through movement, a means to build strength and resiliency, and, ultimately, a chance to peel back the layers and return home to yourself. Off of my mat, I work as an ER veterinarian and I run a non-profit organization that services palliative care cancer patients. You can often find me outdoors walking my dog Paddie, listening to podcasts, and connecting with nature.
