Yoga allows me to return to myself in times where the business of life begins to feel overwhelming. I began practicing yoga to find balance, and with time it has allowed me to develop tools to move more gracefully through times of anxiety and stress. The self-reflection inherent to the practice has positively impacted both my mental health and my relationships with others. While I enjoy the physical benefits and learning what my body is capable of, often surprising myself, finding moments of stillness is what keeps me returning to the mat. I am always looking for opportunities to learn. I enjoy travelling to new places, meeting new people, and in my free time I love to cook.
