I enjoyed pushing my body in my 20s as a member of the military and a competitive taekwondo athlete, but I needed a more gentle approach to health after baby number 2.
Yoga allowed me to bring strength back into my body but also spilled over into other aspects of my life – learning balance through yoga became my focus.
I am joyful and calm; and I love to incorporate strength into my classes. I want to instruct yoga to give students a practice that is beneficial in the moment, but also foster an enduring practice of finding balance in everything: the body, the mind, and life in general!
I am the mother of 2 boisterous boys, my husband prefers throwing weights around but will join me for the occasional yoga practice, and I still serve as a Logistics Officer for the Canadian Armed Forces – now spreading yoga instead of round house kicks 🙂
